New River State Trust Land | AZ Boondocking

Updated: Nov 1, 2022

In three years of boondocking near Arizona for the winter, this was probably the best area we have found. We used this area as a home base and hoped around every few weeks to visit other areas, then coming back to this area. It is about 15 min from the Happy Valley area in Peoria. We were also very close to Anthem which had a phenomenal park, playground, and skatepark. We had great cell coverage, plenty of space, frequent hot air balloons flying overhead, and wild donkeys. We also had several visitors come to camp with us too. We will be back here for sure.

A permit IS required and can be found HERE. It is $25/year for a family and you will need to print it and place it on your RV and in your Vehicles.
